Ok, now that October is here I can really start to think about Halloween. One of my favorite memories of Halloween goes back to a party that I went to in the pre-teen years.

At this party, a ‘haunted house’ had been set up in one of the bedrooms. One by one, we were taken into the haunted room and led around, having all sorts of scary things offered up for our inspection by feel.

I remember the screams coming out of that room, while waiting my turn to go in, as the current participant screamed bloody murder when ‘forced’ to hold eyeballs, put their hands in a pot of brains, and reach out and feel guts and innards. Believe it or not, fall is just around the corner. Though I have to tell you that it is always a little hard for me to remember that fall is so close when I am still in triple digit temperatures myself.
